Monday evening at midnight, it will be too late.
Take advantage of Valentine's Day to spend a romantic evening, but deliver your manuscript to us beforehand on the imposed theme of conquest (*).
This is indeed the theme chosen, in this election year, for the third edition of the
20 Minutes
of the Novel Prize, which previously saw
Noir de Lune
by Estelle Tolliac triumph in 2020 and
L’Ultime frontières
by Giselda Gargano in 2021.

Among you, readers keen on writing, who have signed one of the 300 texts that we have already received (we hope another fifty by Monday evening), there are as many authors as female authors, in a very wide age range from 18 to 83 years old.
One in five manuscripts is an adventure novel
And among all these texts, a spectacular number of adventure novels (20%), the theme of "conquest" lending itself well.
Contemporary literature, noir novels (thrillers and thrillers) and imaginary genres (fantasy, fantastic and SF) each also make up 20%.
And the other genres (historical, romance, autobiographical, regional, etc.) bring together the last 20%… The sentimental angle for dealing with “conquest” therefore appears relatively marginal.
Remember that a selection of ten to twelve manuscripts will be made initially by Les Nouveaux Auteurs, our partner who will publish the book at the end of the year.
The jury for the "
20 Minutes
Novel Prize", chaired by Maxime Chattam, our sponsor, surrounded by editorial journalists and readers of the "
20 Minutes
Books" platform, will take over from the spring.
All that remains is to determine the four finalists, then the winner whose name will be revealed at the end of August and whose novel will be published at the end of the year.
