The Covid-19 figures remain very high, but the downward trend, which began last week, is confirmed in Pays-de-la-Loire.

This is what emerges from the weekly report of the Regional Health Agency (ARS), delivered this Thursday evening.

From 3,956 cases per 100,000 population seven days ago, the incidence rate continued to fall to 2,803.

An “encouraging” figure which remains higher than that of the national level, however, indicates the ARS.

"The curve goes down as quickly as it went up," notes Dr. Pierre Blaise.

Despite tensions in hospitals and nursing homes, particularly in terms of human resources, this drop in contamination is beginning to be seen in the figures for hospitalizations.

Long around 100, the number of people hospitalized in intensive care is now 93. "The match is not over", however warns Jean-Jacques Coiplet, director of the ARS, who calls for "vigilance" while the positivity rate is still close to 40%.
