The Saudi artist, Rabeh Saqr, decided to stay away from Twitter for a period of time, after he was severely attacked by his followers, who accused him of “offending” an amateur Saudi photographer named Abdul Rahman bin Fahd, who designed an album advertisement he did not like.
According to Al-Marsad newspaper, Saqr denounced the work of the designer bin Fahd, and asked him to search for another hobby by writing to him through a tweet, which he later deleted.
For his part, the designer, Abdel Rahman, expressed his sadness at the artist's opinion of his work, indicating that his comment was harsh, and he noted in a tweet, "He who is upset that unfairness comes to you from an artist you love," and also published a publication confirming Rabah Saqr's ban on him.
Because of the controversy, the artist Rabeh Saqr came out and managed his account in the account of “Rabeh Saqr Media” to clarify the confusion in the reality of the opinion of the designer Abdul Rahman.
Rabeh said in tweets that he held a competition for his followers who have the talent to design albums, and allocated a MacBook prize for the winner.
Rabeh added that more than 50 designers applied for the competition and sent their designs, including Abdul Rahman, stressing that "none of them were chosen, and in the end, a photographer from Rotana was hired."
He continued, "I am more tired of myself, my son, and I am far from these things, and I do not want to waste your efforts. The determination is from more than one person, and I cannot insult or underestimate the value of a person. I am basically giving them a prize that must be clarified."
