Study: Overweight people have an immune response and protection from Corona

The Israeli Sheba Center confirmed that obese patients who have recovered from Corona are better protected from future infection, compared to people of normal weight who have recovered from the disease.

The study, which will be presented at the European Conference on Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in April in Lisbon, showed that obese patients who had previously been infected with the Corona virus had a higher immune response and protection, compared to people of normal weight.

The study concluded that recoveries' antibodies and an obesity index of 30 or higher were higher at all time points compared to patients with a BMI of less than 30.
