Prince Charles has caught the virus for the second time and has placed himself in isolation, his services announced on Thursday.

The heir to the British Crown tested positive on Thursday, says Clarence House. 

This morning The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating.



HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today's events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible.

He was at a reception with ministers on Wednesday

The prince was due to inaugurate a statue of 13th-century Jewish businesswoman Licoricia earlier today, and said he was “very disappointed” he could not do so.

On Wednesday evening, the prince had attended a reception at the British Museum in London with his wife Camilla and many other people, including members of the government.
