In detail,
Canis lupus
attacked 336 times last year, with a total of 1,204 victims in flocks of ewes and sheep.
To be compared with the 1,126 victims recorded in 2020.

The Var daily also specifies that ten wolves were killed by "defense shots", five died in road accidents and one was the victim of poaching during the past year.
