A horrific crime shook the "Wad Shamam" neighborhood in the city of Kosti in the White Nile state, after a tumultuous day when the village met on the occasion of a marriage in the neighborhood, and amidst the noise and dancing on Sudanese cattle, the 4-year-old girl Shahd Ahmed Al-Mahdi followed her aunts to the party and with the stampede of people everyone ignored her .
The child’s father is outside Sudan to work, and her mother went to the city, which is kilometers away from the neighborhood, and did not return until the evening. After her arrival, she missed her and did not find her, while the child was accompanied by her “aunts.” Grief for all present.
The girl was found close to the house, and according to "Al Arabiya.net", which quoted eyewitnesses, as soon as she was found dead, the police attended and conducted preliminary investigations and took the body to the mortuary. After the medical report, it was found that she had been brutally raped, and then the perpetrator killed her after breaking her neck.
About two hours after the incident, the police arrested the main suspect in the crime and another person who helped him carry the body after raping and killing it.
A security source said that the accused confessed to committing the crime immediately after the investigation began, and that he was under the influence of alcohol, and indicated his assistant in the crime and was arrested.
