In a robot-based survey at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 that began on the 8th, TEPCO captured images of sediments captured by a camera when the robot was put into a containment vessel filled with water on the 9th. Has been released.

TEPCO has decided to continue the investigation, saying, "I don't know at this stage whether the deposits have melted down as'fuel debris'."

TEPCO released a video of the inside of the containment vessel of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1, which was captured by a camera attached to the robot.

The camera was walking through a water-filled containment vessel, as well as capturing sediments around the pipes underneath the containment vessel.

The place where the deposit was confirmed is the entrance of the pipe leading to the "pressure suppression chamber" under the containment vessel.

In addition, although the video has not been released, it is said that deposits were also confirmed near the opening of the structure called "pedestal" that supports the reactor.

Regarding these deposits, TEPCO plans to introduce a robot that will take a detailed picture of the inside as soon as it is ready, saying "I do not know at this stage whether it is" fuel debris "that has melted down."
