The rules for traveling to France are still a little lighter.
The Secretary of State for European Affairs, Clément Beaune announced the lifting “in the coming days” of the compulsory screening test for vaccinated travelers from countries outside the European area.
Since December and the Omicron wave, the latter had to present a negative PCR or antigen test within 48 hours.
“There will undoubtedly be a new European practice this week so that vaccinated people who come from outside the European Union to the European Union have lightened measures,” added Clément Beaune.
The Twenty-Seven already agreed on January 25 to better coordinate the rules applicable to travel within the EU and to avoid imposing restrictions on holders of a European health certificate.
Several countries, including Italy and Denmark, require travelers, even vaccinated against Covid-19, to present negative tests to enter their territory.
