Two Iranian brothers have confessed to beheading one of them's wife, in a heinous crime that shook public opinion in the country.
The two men, whose identities were not revealed by the police, were arrested on Saturday, four hours after their crime, in the southwestern city of Ahvas.
A video clip, circulating on social media, showed the husband holding a large knife in one hand, while in the other hand he held the severed head of his 17-year-old wife.
It appears that the possible motive for the crime is family problems, as media reports stated that the victim was a fugitive in Turkey and when she returned to Iran, her husband killed her. Investigations are still ongoing and the case is under investigation.
Earlier, the Iranian authorities decided to shut down the "Rukna" news agency, against the background of its publication of a scene documenting the perpetrator's wandering with his wife's severed head in the streets of the city.
The Judicial Authority's "Mizan" news agency reported that the General Organization for the Control of the Press and Iranian news agencies had taken a unanimous decision to ban "Rukna", which is specialized in publishing news of social accidents, from working and decided to stop it.
Mizan explained that this decision comes to publish "Rukna" scenes and materials that "violate morals" of a man wandering with his wife's head in the streets of the city of Ahvas after he slaughtered her.
The authority explained its decision that the agency was suspended due to lack of consideration for viewers' feelings and adherence to professional standards.

A 17yo female escaped her husband to Turkey.
Husband brought her back to Iran and today, he with the help of his brother, decapitated her.
The murderer later on paraded the city with her head in his hand.
