27 asteroids pose a threat to the planets of the solar system

Astronomers at the "Pulkovo" Astronomical Laboratory of the Russian Academy of Sciences have monitored 27 asteroids that pose a danger to Earth and other planets of the solar system.

Scientists divided the asteroids into 3 groups, which are asteroids that pose a danger to two planets at the same time, dangerous asteroids on 3 planets, and dangerous asteroids on 4 planets in the solar system.

RT Arabia quoted the laboratory as saying that the first group includes a few hundred space bodies, the second group includes 100 space bodies, and the third group contains only 27 asteroids, the largest of which is 1320 meters in diameter, and the average diameter of the rest of the asteroids is 100 meters.

A spokesman for the Russian Academy of Sciences said that asteroids with known orbits cannot pose a sudden danger on Earth, as their paths are calculated in advance for thousands of years to come, but they can change their paths when they approach huge space objects, and at that time it is impossible to calculate these changes with high accuracy. .

The scientists pointed out that the earth witnessed and will witness over the years 1500 AD – 2500 AD.

26 dangerous approaches, as asteroids approached or will approach them to a distance of less than 0.001 astronomical units (165,000 km).
