【解说】2022年是壬寅虎年，在浙江湖州，由人工繁育诞生的四只金虎亮相新春，吸引了不少游客驻足。据悉，金虎是孟加拉虎遗传基因突变产生的变异虎种，毛色金黄，有褐色斑纹，现存数量较少，比国宝熊猫还要珍稀。

金虎的数量确实非常稀少，全世界来说它的数量可能比大熊猫还要少，非常的珍贵。因为它是在白虎的基础上(实现了)基因的更重化，形成了这样一个基因突变，变出了一个金毛色的基因，跟我们大众接受的这种吉祥的寓意比较好一点。
【解说】基因变异带来的观赏价值往往伴随着潜在的健康风险。作为四只金虎的培育方，浙江湖州龙之梦动物世界早在培育前就做好了充分的准备，一定程度上提升了金虎培育的品质。

我们是把金虎作为重点繁育来做的，从开始的选种配种，到后期的人工育幼，每年都会有一个繁育计划，尽可能避免近亲交配。后期我们会引进孟加拉虎，和它(金虎)进行一个杂交，形成一个基因的优化。去年十一月份，我们开始繁育第一胎(金虎)，所以大家看到的这几只金虎是一岁的金虎。第一胎我们就繁育出四只，这个在华东地区应该说是(单胎)数量最多的，单胎繁育存活率(高)，全部存活，是一个突破，对我们自己来说。
【解说】许敏玲是金虎的饲养员，照料金虎已经有一年多了。从手中的幼崽到如今一人多高的亚成体，在与金虎的朝夕相伴中，许敏玲有着更多的经验心得和情感体验。

Especially in the afternoon, it (Golden Tiger) is very active, and then we will lead it to run around here.
We definitely have expectations for it (Golden Tiger), that is, to grow up safely and healthily, and the second is to have as few injuries as possible.
