They pruned, turned, passed the metal detectors.

In vain.

Started three weeks ago in the town of Cagnac-les-Mines, the large-scale excavations to find the body of Delphine Jubillar ended this Friday.

The gendarmes, supported by the army and specialized services, did not find the remains of the young mother, who disappeared on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020 from the marital home, in the Tarn.

“This research was necessary, there were checks to be made, we have committed significant resources.

These searches were in vain, but the investigation continues,” a source close to the investigation told AFP.

Helped by experts from the Specialized Task Force of the 17th Parachute Engineer Regiment of Montauban, the investigators of the research section began by probing the surroundings of a farm in the hamlet of Drignac.

According to a fellow prisoner of Cédric Jubillar, Delphine's husband, indicted for his murder since June 18, explained to the gendarmes that the plasterer told him that he had buried his wife in this area.

Re-examination on February 11

The wooded areas, and difficult to access, have been squared near this farm, but also undergrowth near a cemetery, a motocross field as well as a field of photovoltaic panels.

On February 11, Cédric Jubillar, who claims his innocence, will again be questioned by the two investigating judges.

So far, his requests for release have all been denied.
