The prevention and management of violence against women also involves taking care of violent spouses.
This Friday, Elisabeth Moreno announced a 28% increase in this budget.
The Minister Delegate for Equality between Women and Men, questioned by France Bleu Isère, specifies that this increase will bring the envelope to “more than six million euros”.
On a visit to Vienne, in Isère, to inaugurate a reception center for perpetrators of domestic violence, the minister considered that this system had "truly borne fruit".
The 30 centers opened in 2021 would have made it possible to “treat” 6,000 people whose recurrence rate “has dropped considerably”.
The opening of new centers is not planned.
However, new people will be recruited in the establishments already open and the "territorial network" will be strengthened.
A suitable course
These establishments take care of defendants under judicial control and awaiting a judgment, convicted persons within the framework of a follow-up as well as men who present themselves voluntarily.
They then benefit from a health and social assessment, their legal situation is also taken into account and then a course of care is put in place.
The workers then work on any psychiatric disorders, traumas, emotional management problems or even addictions.
