Execution for an Algerian who killed his daughter 23 years after killing his son
An Algerian court has sentenced to death an Algerian man who killed his daughter and separated her head from her body, according to the local newspaper, Akher Saa.
The newspaper pointed out that the events of that incident date back to several days ago, when a villager in the forests of Tizi Ouzou province, northern Algeria, found the rotting body of a 17-year-old girl, whose head was separated from her body.
The parents of the teenage girl had reported her disappearance to the relevant authorities before she was found murdered in the Ikoran forest.
"The descriptions of the members found were matched with the picture of the disappeared minor, by the scientific police and the forensic doctor, and a head and leg were separated from the girl's body, which had traces of burns and smelled of gasoline," the public prosecutor told Azazka Court in the Tizi Ouzou District Council.
He pointed out that the victim was killed by her father, pointing out that "after comparing the image of the disappeared minor with the head found, they were identical," which was confirmed by the victim's mother.
He continued, "We moved with the security forces to search the house of the minor in which she and her father lived, in his presence, as it turned out that this house was the scene of the crime, as sufficient scientific evidence and strong evidence were extracted indicating that the father had killed his daughter, dismembering her and getting rid of the body by throwing it in nature." .
The agent indicated that the investigators suspected the victim's father's involvement, after finding bloodstains belonging to the victim in the family home, the crime scene, and suspicions arose about the father, as he has a criminal record.
It should be noted that this father was previously convicted of the murder of his eldest son 23 years ago, before he was released from prison in 2001, to give birth to a daughter and later kill her.
