オミクロン株による急速な感染拡大が続く中、札幌市の「KKR札幌医療センター」がNHKの取材に応じ、入院して治療を受けている患者たちの現状を映像などで明らかにしました。
院内には、帝王切開で出産した女性や、家庭内感染した母子がいて、高齢者だけでなく、妊婦や子どもの入院が増えていることがうかがえます。
新型コロナウイルス患者のうち、軽症や中等症を受け入れている「KKR札幌医療センター」は、医療現場の実情を伝えようと、入院患者の了解を得たうえで、院内の様子を撮影しました。
映像では、妊娠39週で感染が判明し、市内の別の病院で帝王切開を行ってお産を終えたばかりの30代の女性と、家庭内感染した3歳の子どもがいる40代の母親が、感染が判明した当時の状況や、入院に至るまでの経緯を明らかにしています。
このうち、30代の女性は、感染対策の観点から、帝王切開を薦められたということで、「妊娠しているので赤ちゃんがどうなるのかとすごく不安でした。もうすでに子どもにも感染しているかもしれないという可能性があったので、早く産んであげたいと思いました」と振り返りました。
ただ、感染対策のため、女性は子どもと隔離されているということで、「子どもには本当に一瞬しか会えていません。また、夫に出産に立ち会わせてあげられなかったのも少し残念でした」と話していました。
また、家庭内で感染し、夫や3歳の子どもも感染した40代の母親は「3歳なので隔離生活ができませんでした。子どもの症状がひどく、だんだん食べられなくなってしまって脱水が進んでしまいました。うまく水分を取らせてあげられず、救急車を呼ぶことになりました」と述べて、子どもの症状悪化を防ぐことの難しさを打ち明けました。
