Kagawa Prefecture announced on the 3rd that it was confirmed that a total of 416 people, including Takamatsu City and Marugame City, were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
The number of infected people announced on the 1st is the highest ever, reaching more than 400 for the first time.
The prefecture also announced that a man in his 80s had died.
A total of 9558 people were confirmed infected in Kagawa prefecture, and 44 people died.
