The Ministry of Health has announced that the duration of the certificate of recovery, granted to people who have just been infected with the coronavirus, will be reduced to four months.

As a reminder, the duration is currently six months.

On February 15, 7 million people risk losing their vaccination pass for lack of a booster dose.

The duration of the certificate of recovery, granted to people who have just been infected with the coronavirus, will be reduced to four months, against six currently, from February 15, indicated the Ministry of Health. The certificate of recovery is granted to people who have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 and who must wait before receiving a dose of the Covid vaccine. This certificate is integrated into the vaccination pass, which has replaced the health pass since January 24.

“After your last vaccine injection, or your last infection” with the virus, “the time limit for carrying out a booster dose is three months”, the ministry recalled on Saturday.

“You have one month to complete your booster dose,” he added.

The certificate of reinstatement will therefore now be for a period of four months.

This measure applies to people over 18 years and one month.

Teenagers aged 16 and 17 do not have to take their booster dose to keep their vaccination pass, even if it is recommended to them.

Children 15 and under are not subject to the vaccination pass.

Figures to qualify

According to estimates by the Ministry of Health at the very end of January, some 7 million people, unvaccinated or without the booster dose, risk losing their vaccination pass on February 15.

But it is not certain that they will all find themselves without a vaccine pass: of these 7 million, some will have taken their booster dose over the next 15 days, others will be infected with the virus by then.
