Farmers pamper cows with Beethoven music and virtual reality glasses to increase milk

In a unique experiment to increase milk production, a farmer in central Turkey put virtual reality headsets on the heads of two of his cows daily, before playing a recording of classical music inside the barn.

He says that the purpose of this is to prepare them for the state of milking, as it has been proven that the symphonies of Mozart and Beethoven, have achieved success so far in increasing the amount of milk production.

The sights the cows see and the sounds they hear are part of a new practice devised by Izzet Kocak, who raises his cows in Kayseri, in central Anatolia, to motivate them to increase their dairy production.

Kocak told German News Agency that the results of the experiment are promising.

He added that each cow enjoys the peaceful and relaxing views of green meadows through virtual reality glasses, and with the addition of music tones to the scene, each of them has produced an additional 5 liters of milk per day since last week.
