Saudi employee Nora Al-Assaf went with her friends to enjoy dining in a restaurant in Riyadh that promises its customers a "terrifying" experience, only to find herself in front of a frightening display of zombies, in one of the growing entertainment experiences in the Kingdom.
And the terrifying restaurant in the Kingdom is among the dozens of restaurants that have opened their doors in Riyadh in recent years, including those belonging to famous Italian, French and American groups.
Horrific images of dead blindfolded visitors receive visitors in the narrow corridor linking the dining hall and the entrance to the "Shadows" restaurant, in the Riyadh Boulevard entertainment complex in the north of the Saudi capital.
"I came to listen and laugh...but the atmosphere and the performances are so terrifying," said Alassaf, a 26-year-old human resources employee.
"I don't crave food anymore," she said nervously, as the waiter served her a plate of pasta with white sauce that she had ordered on a tray with a black laughing skull.
The restaurant presents a performance by a band disguised as zombies, vampires or other monsters to instill fear in the hearts of the diners.

In Shadows, the terror begins on the steps of the gray restaurant building, which is topped by large figures of white bats with red eyes and black ghosts from its windows.
This atmosphere meets Saudi businessman Suleiman Al-Omari's passion for excitement.
Al-Omari, 45, who was having dinner with his family, said that he came "because we are looking for exciting and new things that are now available in Riyadh."
The man continued, "Visiting restaurants was to go to eat and be satisfied and talk and go back, but now we eat, enjoy and be afraid."
As the horrific show begins in the restaurant, loud music resonates in the hall, while large screens transmit images of zombies and vampires.
While some scream in terror, others take pictures with the zombies.
