With a musician on the witness stand, the trial against clan chief Arafat Abou-Chaker and three of his brothers for alleged crimes against rapper Bushido continued.

The Berlin rapper Ali Bumaye said on Wednesday before the capital's district court that he could not say anything about the allegations.

"I wasn't there, speculation is nonsense," said the 37-year-old.

There is "a lot of hot air".

As a further witness, the rapper Fler should be questioned.

However, the 39-year-old was not allowed into the courthouse – because of the applicable corona rules, it was said on the side.

The musician, whose real name is Patrick Losensky, was sent to a test center.

After a longer pause, the presiding judge announced: "The interrogation cannot take place today."

Trial will resume on February 9th

The 3-G rule applies in criminal courts.

Visitors and those involved in the procedure must prove that they have been vaccinated against the coronavirus at least twice, have recovered from an infection or have a negative antigen test or PCR test.

A new date for the questioning of Fler has not yet been announced.

The friendship between Fler and Bushido broke up years ago.

Bushido, real Anis Ferchichi, and 45-year-old Arafat Abou-Chaker, head of a well-known extended family of Arabic origin, were considered partners in the music business.

According to the indictment, criminal offenses are said to have occurred after Bushido dissolved the business relationship in 2017.

Arafat Abou-Chaker, as a long-time manager, did not want to accept this and asked the musician to pay millions and participate in his music business for 15 years.

The 43-year-old Bushido is said to have been threatened, insulted, locked up and attacked with a water bottle and a chair in December 2017 and January 2018.

The charges include attempted aggravated extortion, deprivation of liberty and dangerous bodily harm.

Ali Bumaye said his cousin Arafat Abou-Chaker told him the allegations weren't true.

He himself "actually got along well with Bushido, then he insulted me".

The trial will resume on February 9th.
