Terrifying video of the collapse of the roof of the cargo terminal at Istanbul Airport

Yesterday, Tuesday, the roof of the facility building that serves Turkish shipping at Istanbul International Airport collapsed due to the accumulation of snow on top of it, and a circulating video shows the extent of the damage caused by the collapse.

Yahya Osten, a press advisor at Turkish Airlines, said in a tweet on Twitter that the collapse was due to the accumulated snow masses and the intensification of the snow storm.

Snow storms have been sweeping Istanbul for days, and officials and meteorologists have warned citizens not to take to the streets unless absolutely necessary.

Turkish Airlines announced the cancellation of 31 scheduled flights on Monday to and from "Sabiha Gokcen International Airport" in Istanbul due to the snowfall.

And the company's media advisor explained that "some flights were canceled as a precautionary measure due to the weather conditions that are expected to worsen in Istanbul, and he recommended travelers to monitor the conditions of their flights."
