"Da Liuzi" is the only project in Chongli District that has entered the Zhangjiakou municipal intangible cultural heritage. It originated from the local Jilai Temple Village. It was originally named after relying on the slap of the willow stick as an accompaniment to the performance. It has a history of more than 300 years.
According to "Chongli County Chronicle", in the 51st year of Emperor Kangxi, the Guandi Temple was built in Jilaimiao Village. The farmers worshipped the three officials by "beating the willows", that is, the rituals of offering sacrifices to heaven, earth and water.
It is passed down from later generations that it is usually held in front of temples. It is usually arranged from the 12th to the 16th day of the first month of the lunar calendar. Within three days, people will worship each other from house to house, and neighboring villages will worship each other.
Therefore, there is a local saying that "the fifteenth day of the first month is full of lanterns, and the sixteenth of the first month is full of diseases".
