A study determines the incubation period for “Omicron” in a patient

Several recent research shows a new difference between the Delta and Micron mutants, which is the "incubation period of the virus." A small study by the Centers for Disease Control found that the incubation of the Omicron appears to be about one day shorter than the incubation of Delta.

With Delta, the incubation time was usually about 4 days, while with Omicron, the period is shortened to 3 days, according to Fox News.

The incubation period of the virus is one of the factors that can contribute to its rapid spread, as the short incubation period means that the person’s exposure to the virus and its ability to transmit it to others is very fast.

And “Sky News Arabia” quoted Harvard Medical School wrote: “With Omicron, most transmission of infection occurs within one to two days before symptoms appear, and within two to three days after that.”

She added, "Wearing masks can help reduce the risk of infection, especially from someone who has not yet shown symptoms."

According to studies, people who have tested positive for Omicron's symptoms should also stay at home, and isolate from others.
