With several remakes and a film in the works,

Dix pour cent

, an international Emmy-winning French series, has become a powerful franchise around the world.

The producers of the series, Mon Voisin Productions, and of the British remake, Mother Production, owned by Mediawan, say more about the film and the remakes, in an interview with

Mon Voisin Productions is developing a feature film with France Télévisions.

At the helm of this suite of Ten percent, Nicolas Mercier, the showrunner who succeeded Fanny Herrero in the direction of writing.

A “quite colorful” film

“It will open with Andrea [Camille Cottin] in New York and then go to France – we will give an American point of view on the shooting in France and it promises to be quite colorful”, confides Michel Feller of Mon Voisin Productions at American trade magazine.

Netflix should acquire the worldwide rights (outside France) of this long format.

Series producers Mon Voisin Productions and Mediawan-owned Mother Production are co-producing the UK remake with Headline Pictures and Bron Studios for Amazon Prime Video and Sundance Now, which is expected to be completed in the spring.

"It's a very rare achievement for a French show to be remade in the UK and even more so for French producers to be creatively involved in it, but we have always kept in mind that a good remake must betray the original and this is particularly true for Great Britain, which has such a dynamic culture”, salutes Aurélien Larger of Mother Production.

A British remake with more black humor

This remake located in London, directed by showrunner John Morton, will focus more on theater actors and will give pride of place to dark humor, dear to the British.

The producers of the British series do not rule out a crossover with the ASK team of the French

Ten percent

.

Camille Cottin could thus make an appearance in an episode of Call My Agent.

The French series will also be available in Italy by Palomar, a company based in Rome.

The German filmmaker Oliver Hirschbiegel, the filmmaker of La Chute, was chosen to direct this Italian version.

In Indonesia, the series will be adapted by Erik Matti, the director of

This version will be distributed by Disney+, and is part of the original content creation program in Asia-Pacific for the platform.

In the Middle East, the remake will be produced in partnership with NBC, with HBO Go in the Philippines, Astro in Malaysia, and TVN in Poland.

The South Korean partner has yet to be announced.

These seven new remakes are all expected to go into production sometime in 2022.

Three or four other adaptations should follow, in the Czech Republic, Greece, Germany and Spain.

At the same time, Mon Voisin Production is currently preparing the filming of the first two episodes of

Ça, c'est Paris

, an internationally oriented series, written by Marc Fitoussi and taking place in a Parisian cabaret.
