The series is a crime drama about the couple Byrde (Jason Bateman and Laura Linney) who had to flee a quiet life in Chicago's suburbs under death threats from a Mexican drug cartel.

Their only way to survive was to move to Ozark, Missouri, where they laundered money for the cartel.

Although the series has been acclaimed, it has only won three Emmys from 32 nominations.
