The police are now investigating against the Czech real estate entrepreneur Radim P., who moved his 1500 hp Bugatti Chiron at a speed of up to 417 kilometers per hour on the A2 from Berlin in the direction of Hanover.
The video of his ride, which Radim P. later posted on the Internet, has meanwhile been clicked several million times.

The recording shows how Radim P. accelerates the sports car on the three-lane A2 in the area of the border between Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. Radim P. then drives for about a minute on the flat and relatively straight section to the Theeßen exit at a speed of around 400 kilometers per hour. During this time, Radim P. also overtakes some vehicles on the section of track that is quite empty at the time. Then P. and his passenger cheered while driving in another camera on board the sports car.
The Magdeburg police initially saw no reason to investigate, since there is no general speed limit on this section of the A2 and the car is registered. After further checks over the weekend, however, the police began investigating suspected banned motor vehicle racing on Monday. The public prosecutor's office should now examine the facts more closely from a legal point of view.
The ADAC, among others, had previously described the behavior of the Bugatti driver as irresponsible.
Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing (FDP) was also critical;
any behavior on the road that endangers road users should be rejected.
In Saxony-Anhalt, the Left Party and the Greens raised demands for a general speed limit on motorways.
“With its lax legislation, Germany is making itself the Eldorado of speeders.
That is irresponsible and extremely dangerous to security," said Cornelia Lüddemann, leader of the Greens.
