  Combined with the results of epidemiological investigation and virus whole-genome sequencing, the current round of the epidemic has two relatively clear transmission chains, namely the Omicron variant-associated epidemic and the Delta variant-associated epidemic.

From January 15th to 16:00 on January 22nd, a total of 5 local cases of new coronary pneumonia were reported in the Omicron variant associated epidemic, all of which were confirmed cases, all of which were mild; from January 18th to 16:00 on January 22nd, A total of 29 local new coronary pneumonia cases have been reported in the delta variant-associated epidemic, of which 23 are confirmed cases (16 mild cases, 7 common cases) and 6 asymptomatic infections.

In order to facilitate the public's understanding of the epidemic situation in Beijing, the cases will be announced in the form of consecutive numbers from two transmission chains on the basis of the previously announced cases.
