  [Explanation] Qiuci gourd paintings, dough sculptures with different shapes, and traditional national musical instruments are played. On January 21, a series of activities of "Xinjiang is a good place - the 9th Tianshan North and South Celebrating the Spring Festival Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition" was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang City development, intangible cultural heritage inheritors will show their skills on the spot, allowing visitors to experience the New Year's custom culture in each intangible cultural heritage work and convey the joy of the New Year.

  [Explanation] At the scene, visitors gathered around Ma Jianghong, the intangible inheritor of gourd painting, to inquire about the knowledge of creating gourd paintings. Speaking of his works, Ma Jianghong was very enthusiastic.

  Most of my works are mainly based on the Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves in Xinjiang, using a combination of prints, jade carvings and wood carvings with different techniques. I want more children to have a better understanding of our local culture in Xinjiang. and love.

  [Explanation] The Spring Festival window decoration has always been a traditional custom of the Chinese New Year.

Wang Ge, the inheritor of paper-cutting of intangible cultural heritage, brought paper-cutting works. All kinds of paper-cuts in the shape of tigers brought people back to the memory of paper-cutting.

  Our work is "The Year of the Tiger Welcomes the New Year of the Tiger and the Bazaar". The number of participants in this work is more than 100. The oldest is 90 years old and the youngest is 4 years old. This work is mainly based on traditional culture and modern culture. Integrate into one, so that more people can understand traditional culture.

  [Explanation] Appreciate the classic New Year pictures, taste the "feast" of New Year customs, and "listen" to the stories of the craftsmen around you, adding cultural connotation to the festival and conveying the festive atmosphere of the New Year.

Xinjiang's intangible cultural heritage is world-renowned for its variety and rich content. The annual customs exhibition covers traditional skills, art, dance, music and other categories.

  [Explanation] 14 prefectures (cities) in Xinjiang also hold a series of activities of the Tianshan Mountains in the north and south to celebrate the Chinese New Year intangible cultural heritage annual customs exhibition, and comprehensively display the peaceful scene of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang rejoicing and celebrating the Chinese New Year. The activities will continue until the Lantern Festival.
