Lawyer Ayman Mahfouz apologized, saying: "Art critic Tariq Al-Shennawi has all the respect and appreciation in his person, but there are voices defending this type of art," explaining that he demanded in the lawsuit he filed against the Ministry of Culture and Artistic Works that the film not be shown to the masses, "The film spread on social media and destroying the values ​​of Egyptian society by promoting homosexuality, and this is a systematic war on our values ​​and morals.”
