There is no release date for the second season yet, but Netflix boss Ted Sarandos tells Variety that it "is just the beginning of the 'Squid game' universe".
"Squid game" quickly became a global phenomenon after its premiere in September last year.
The series is about a group of deeply indebted people who are invited to participate in a series of child games with life-threatening consequences to get a chance to win a large sum of money and to entertain rich knuckles.
