With the reduction of the adult age from April, the Ministry of Justice plans to introduce a new educational program for people aged 18 and 19 who are in the juvenile training school, encouraging remorse for crimes and misconduct, and for adults. We are creating teaching materials to help people think about their awareness and responsibility.

With the adult age being reduced to 18 from April, the Ministry of Justice has been considering concrete measures to enhance education at juvenile training schools in preparation for rehabilitation.

As a result, we decided to introduce a new educational program for 18-year-olds and 19-year-olds who are in the juvenile training school from April, and think about their awareness and responsibility as adults while encouraging reflection on crime and misconduct. We are in the process of creating teaching materials to receive.

In addition to becoming an adult, the teaching materials are expected to include learning about crime, misconduct, and work, and the Ministry of Justice hopes to support smooth rehabilitation through a new educational program.
