[editor Jina Yoon] The Japanese version of 'My Love from the Stars' has released a trailer ahead of its airing in February.

'My Love from the Star' is a drama about a miraculous romance between a man from outer space, Do Min-joon, and Hallyu goddess Cheon Song-i, the top star of the Korean Wave.

In the Japanese version, the role of Minjun Do is played by Sota Fukushi, who has established himself as a rising star in Japan, and Mizuki Yamamoto, a former model actor, plays the role of top star Songi Cheon.

In an interview with the local media, Fukushi Sota said, "It was my second time playing an alien role, but this casting offer was really amazing. I acted with the utmost respect for the original work, and I really enjoyed the whole acting because there were so many favorite scenes." .

Mizuki Yamamoto, who played Cheon Song-i, said, "When I first received the casting offer, I felt quite pressured about how to play the role of a popular actress, but after reading the script, I found a part in the main character that was slightly different from the original, so I decided to try acting." I did.

Even in the short trailer of 1 minute and 30 seconds, it was confirmed that the main scenes of the original were reproduced as they were, such as Do Min-jun riding a bicycle and Cheon Song-i singing while drunk.

The appearance of the apartment where Do Min-joon and Cheon Song-i live, which is the main setting of the drama, was also similar to the original.

However, netizens who saw the trailer commented, "It seems difficult to surpass Do Min-joon and Cheon Song-i, played by Kim Soo-hyun and Jun Ji-hyun in the original work", "I think other actors would have suited them better in the image", "The casting is disappointing, so the original aura was I don't feel it," and so on.

Even in Japan, "Chun Song-i is a character that can't be digested simply by being pretty, wouldn't another actor suit him better?", "I always omit this and that in the remake, so the fun is halved", "If it doesn't destroy the image of the original. “There were many more mixed reactions.

Previously, 'My Love from the Stars' was scheduled to be remade by ABC in the US, but it was canceled once and was disappointing.

After many twists and turns, the remake was made in Japan, and interest is focused on whether it will be able to meet the expectations of the original fans.
