Early-blooming cherry blossoms bloom in Nichinan City in the southern part of Miyazaki Prefecture, and visitors are enjoying the early spring colors.
About 20 early-blooming cherry trees of the variety "Nichinan Kansaki No. 1" are planted near JR Kitago Station in Nichinan City.
According to the Nichinan City Tourist Association, the buds started to open from the end of last month, and some trees have already bloomed for about 5 minutes.
The cherry blossoms were created in 1951 by a local gardening farmer who crossed the early-blooming wild cherry blossoms, saying, "I want to make cherry blossoms that bloom in the New Year."
White-eyes were seen pecking at the cherry blossoms that bloomed with phosphorus, and the area was surrounded by a springy atmosphere.
A woman from the city said, "It's beautiful. When I see this cherry blossom, it feels like spring has come and my feelings become brighter."
The early blooming cherry blossoms are in full bloom at the end of this month, and it seems that they can be enjoyed until the beginning of next month.
