[Explanation] A peach pit the size of a coin, through a series of processes such as blanking, layout, carving, and polishing, the "nuclear boat" depicted in "Heizhou Ji" in the Ming Dynasty 400 years ago came out of the "nuclear", with the canopy, window sash, etc. , The characters are full of voice, face and smile, and the portrayal is delicate and realistic.

This nuclear carving boat is from the hands of Wang Xude, the national non-genetic inheritor of Weifang nuclear carving.

He is 79 years old this year. Through his carving skills, each peach pit presents "all forms of the world" with wood with a diameter of an inch.

[Explanation] On January 18, the reporter came to Shihu Garden in Weifang City and met Wang Xude who was carving peach pits.

He told reporters that the Weifang nuclear carving technique originated in Zhucheng. In the late Qing Dynasty, the artist "Zhang Dayan" from Zhucheng returned to his hometown after he completed his studies in Beijing. It has a history of more than one hundred years.

I came into contact with nuclear carving in 1962. My master, Kao Gongqing, was transferred from (Weifang) Silver Inlay Factory to (Weifang City) Arts and Crafts Research Institute.

I was researching the process of baking copper at the time.

Master Kao carved there, and I sometimes go to see it.

At the beginning, I looked at the quails and Gusu quails carved by Master Kao, and imagined the core carvings carved by Master Kao, and (I) carved them.

Carved out a few days later.

Master Kao sees how you can figure it out on your own. If you want to learn, I will teach you.

[Explanation] Stone carving is a folk micro-carving craft, showing complex themes on the smaller fruit pits, requiring the sculptor to be meticulous.

It uses peach pits as materials to carve cars and boats, landscapes, flowers and birds, animals, figures, etc. on it.

This work is "Meng Haoran rides a donkey across a small bridge", and this picture is the scene of Lan Guibu, the master's ancestor.

It was engraved by my master Kao Gongqing, and he gave it to me when he retired.

I just engraved a little, "Chinese nuclear carving for thousands of generations", which is a work made by me (master and apprentice) three generations of cooperation.

[Explanation] For more than 50 years, Wang Xude, the fifth-generation inheritor of Weifang nuclear carving, has boldly carved peach pits into novel works such as utensils, snuff bottles, flower patterns, and twelve zodiac signs on the basis of inheriting the carving skills of his predecessors. The subtleties are seen in the rough resistance, which enriches the colors and varieties of nuclear carvings, and opens up new paths for later scholars.

Stone carving, peach pit carving is difficult, not difficult.

The so-called difficulty is that it is a collection of poems, calligraphy, paintings and seals, and it is a tree with a diameter of an inch.

It's not difficult, as long as you persevere, progress day by day, year after year, day after day, year after year, things will come to pass.

[Explanation] In June 2008, Weifang nuclear carvings were selected into the national intangible cultural heritage list.

Wang Xude told reporters that Weifang nuclear carving has developed well in recent years, and he has also adopted methods such as accepting apprentices and teaching skills to cultivate reserve talents for Weifang nuclear carving.

In fact, in the past, only a few of us were engaged in stone carving, and most of the people did not know that peach pits could carve such good works.

(Weifang) The development of nuclear carving is very good. There are about a thousand people engaged in nuclear carving in Weifang.

In the future development direction, I think that (Weifang nuclear carving) will affect the whole country and make the country's nuclear carving (industry) develop vigorously.
