Gaspard Ulliel died on Wednesday after a skiing accident.

The 37-year-old actor had a unique presence that allowed him to play everything: the wild teenager in

by André Téchiné, one of his first films, or the ingenuous lover propelled to the front of the war 14- 18 in

A Long Engagement Sunday.

It is moreover this film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet which offers him his first César, that of the best male hope, at just 20 years old.
