In response to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus infection, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has decided to extend the test, which anyone can take free of charge even if they have no symptoms, from next month onwards.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government began testing for the new coronavirus on the 25th of last month, which anyone can receive for free if they wish, even if they have no symptoms.

As of the 19th, it can be taken at about 260 drug stores and private inspection institutions in Tokyo, and according to the city, many people still want free inspection.

This free test was scheduled for 31st of this month, but due to the rapid spread of the infection, it was found by interviews with the people concerned that the city has decided to extend it after next month.

It means that the extension period is coordinated with the country.

The city wants to use free tests to let people know if they are infected and to reduce the risk of spreading the virus to those around them.
