The ship, named "Xin Yaohua", has become the second largest semi-submersible ship in China.

  Semi-submersible ship is a kind of transport ship that can "diving", known as "sea Hercules forklift", it can submerge the deck into the water, lift the cargo from the designated position to complete the loading, mainly used for transporting inseparable goods. Ultra-large equipment, such as offshore engineering platforms, oil and gas extraction modules, or ships that have lost power.

  [Explanation] Boarding the deck of the "New Yaohua", the view is very wide. The deck is 210 meters long and 57 meters wide, and the area is close to the size of two standard football fields.

But even such a giant can perform high-precision operations at sea that are comparable to "needle embroidery".

  The ship can use DGPS, laser and radar three sets of position sensor systems for dynamic positioning, and the error is only 0.05 meters. In the vast sea, even if there is no DGPS signal, as long as there is a fixed reference object, it can also pass laser or radar. signal to locate.

Only one coordinate point needs to be locked, no matter how the waves are affected, it can be stably positioned on the locked coordinate point under the action of the ship's dynamic positioning.

  [Explanation] According to reports, when the "Xin Yaohua" is diving, as long as the submarine valve of the corresponding ballast tank is opened through the control system, the ship can automatically dive into the water for 30.5 meters within 6 hours. Excellent performance.

Since the deck of the semi-submersible ship is under enormous pressure, the steel plate on the deck surface is 60 mm thick.

For welding such a large thickness of steel plate, deformation prevention control is the key to the construction. The researchers innovated the process technology and finally successfully overcome this technical problem.
