“What is allowed to Jupiter is not allowed to the bull” - this expression, emphasizing the privileged position of the powerful, very accurately describes the scandal with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

In order to understand why Johnson is seriously at risk of losing his position, one must remember how the UK fought covid for the past two years. The country was periodically in the most severe lockdown. At Christmas, special "bubbles" were organized, each of which included one household. Moving between the "bubbles" was not allowed and severely punished. In May of the year before last, the average Briton could meet on the street with only one person at a time, and only 14 people could attend the funeral.

But this is an ordinary Briton. At 10 Downing Street, the prime minister's official residence, there were slightly different rules. It would be more accurate to say that they did not exist at all. But more on that later, because a big scandal in the administration already took place in May 2020. Then Johnson's senior adviser Dominic Cummings was convicted twice of a serious violation of quarantine. Cummings, who was one of the authors of the new rules. When the adviser's wife fell ill with COVID-19, he did not stay in self-isolation with her, but went 300 km from London to his father's house. At the same time, Cummings was even warned by the police, and this incident was not the only one. Johnson defended the adviser, Cummings himself said that everything was OK, we were working on, but he was suddenly fired in November of the same year.

It would seem that there are hundreds of cameras of nosy journalists who are filtering through coronavirus restrictions to find scandalous facts.

There is a huge administration of the Prime Minister, within which no lewdness - apart from the behavior of England in the international arena - can be hidden.

But no!

Government officials decide to establish wine Fridays right on Downing Street, 10. There is a cozy park in the backyard.

Of course, Johnson denied his involvement.

Then he said that he went in once for 25 minutes and there was no alcohol there.

Then it turned out that in the mailing list it was written in black and white: "Bring your own booze."

Well, just a loss of face, which would have been possible if the face had not been lost even earlier.

This, of course, is not the only scandal.

While Queen Elizabeth II mourned the death of her husband and at the same time was in quarantine before the funeral of Prince Philip, Johnson ... hung out and danced at the farewell party of two departing employees.

Of course, he had not heard anything about modern transparency and smartphones and, probably, he was very surprised at the appearance of videos of his dances on the network.

The Prime Minister is not going anywhere.

He forcedly apologized in the House of Representatives, appointed an investigator to investigate the incident - that, in fact, was all.

The institution of reputation is only for bulls and not for Jupiters.
