On subway cars, building walls or bridges, from Philadelphia to Cape Town via Sao Paulo, Paris and Berlin, graffiti is now displayed everywhere.

Advertising

Long considered vandalism, they are now exhibited in galleries and museums.

Some murals have also become real tourist attractions for cities.

Ephemeral or lasting, art or degradation, gratuitous or mercantile, transgression or conformism... graffiti also says a lot about our relationship to the city and to the times.
