The Egyptian actress, Rania Youssef, sparked widespread controversy on social media, after she revealed the characteristics of the man she was looking for.
In statements to the "New Egypt" program, Rania Youssef explained that "one of the reasons for the artistic fame that she enjoys is her effort, her full dedication, and her love of the art profession."
She added, "I come home every day from work at five in the morning, and sometimes I work for 3 days without going home," adding: "I am looking for a man who respects the dates and nature of my work, my mind and my ambitions."
And about the Egyptian or the eastern man, Rania Youssef said: "It changes after 3 months of the marriage period, as it transforms and changes in an unbelievable way."
And whether she would think about marriage for the fourth time, Rania Youssef explained: "Passport is not necessary for the relative now. The concept of passport in Arab societies is not correct, they marry because of the succession or because they do not have the freedom to remain in open relationships, which is normal in Arab societies."
Rania Youssef's statements met with some "sarcasm" on social media, and sparked controversy, as many followers criticized her.
