Kaydy Cain Interview: "People save time with prejudice"
Since last Thursday, the name of the ragpicker
Kaydy Cain
circulates in tens of thousands of messages on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook due to the
complaint on social networks that he allegedly raped and abused several girls
. Some
would even be minors
at the time of the events, as has been stated.
The singer "flatly" denies these accusations, recalls that "there is no legal complaint"
and states that he has already taken legal action.
Kaydy Cain, one of the best-known ragpickers on the Spanish music scene since he
rose to fame a decade ago as a member of the group Pxxr Gvng
, was first accused last Thursday in a thread that began with the phrase "It's time to to go viral what Kaydy Cain really is.
In her chain of messages, the tweeter reported the testimonies of several girls who accused the man from Madrid - real name
Daniel Gómez
- of sexual abuse and even rape.
In addition, he pointed out that he
had been hearing "some bad comments about him" for months and asked for his "cancellation"
.
"It all started because
I saw that a friend shared on her Instagram the messages of this girl who said that he had raped her friend
," this tweeter explains to EL MUNDO, who asks to remain anonymous for being, she explains, a minor. "I spoke with her and asked her to publish her text on Twitter giving my opinion and commenting on the subject. Later,
others told me their testimonies and I added them
," she explains.
The tweeter who has launched the accusations
explains that she does not know any of the victims personally, but that she gives total credibility to their testimonies
and considers that it is the way she has to show her support. "I'm not sorry to stand up for them because I know it has reached a lot of people and
I'm glad there are people who are returning their tickets and have it cancelled
."
Among the
anonymous accusations
in the Twitter thread you can read:
"I was a victim of him when I was a minor and you can't imagine how difficult it is to see him on all sides
. "
Also the one that caused the whirlwind: "He abused me when I was a minor. I don't want to give details of what happened or how because it's very traumatic, but
I can tell you that it left bloody wounds on my body and genitals
(...) This is something serious and serious, he is a rapist. You have to stop."
One of the alleged victims and a friend have created the Instagram account @habrajusticia, where several accusations are gathered, all of them anonymous, which already add up to six.
From Kaydy Cain's
management
office they point out to this newspaper that
the artist "absolutely condemns and flatly denies"
some "so serious" accusations. "Imagine someone accusing you of something so serious and about which there is also no complaint, all anonymous.
There is no complaint through the courts. We are talking about anonymous and free trials on social networks,
"says the representative of the musician. In addition, these same sources assure that, after "requesting the withdrawal and rectification of the false information" from the social network accounts,
they have launched "all legal measures, including the judicial process"
.
The representatives of the popular musician
also accuse other artists of "amplifying the information that they have not verified
by having a large number of followers. For example:
Omar Ayuso, Samantha Hudson or Natalia Lacunza
." Kaydy Cain has not spoken to the press, but has posted a video on her Instagram account showing
concern for her loved ones
. "This is very painful, especially for the family. Now I have a daughter to take to school, I have a life partner."
This is not the first controversy involving Kaydy Cain, who has been
accused on several occasions for the "macho and misogynist" content of his lyrics
and has even been canceled at a festival. In relation to his lyrics, one of the most repeated messages on Twitter in recent days has been his stanza of the song
Maldades
, by Pxxr Gvng:
"Don't tell me your age / I don't want to know / Tell me if you want to meet / If you want to see me /I don't care anymore /If you're a minor or a woman /I want to be able to kiss you"
.
"That his lyrics are controversial is not new,
he respects that not everyone understands his music and anyone is free to consume it or not. But from there to accusing someone of a baseless rapist of minors... What's behind from the head of someone who does that?
", They settle from their team.
