Last year, my country's 5G mobile phone shipments reached 266 million units
Beijing, January 18 (Reporter Han Xin) The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released an analysis report on the operation of the domestic mobile phone market in December last year.
The report shows that in December 2021, mobile phone shipments in the domestic market were 33.401 million units, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%, of which 5G mobile phones were 27.145 million units, a year-on-year increase of 49.2%, accounting for 81.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
From the perspective of the whole year, in 2021, the total shipments of mobile phones in the domestic market will total 351 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%. Among them, 5G mobile phone shipments will be 266 million units, a year-on-year increase of 63.5%, accounting for 75.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period .
The proportion of domestic brand mobile phone shipments has further increased.
In the whole year of 2021, domestic brand mobile phone shipments totaled 304 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%, accounting for 86.6% of the mobile phone shipments in the same period; a total of 438 new models were launched, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%, accounting for the same period of new mobile phone listings. 90.7% of the number of models.
The growth rate of smartphone shipments accelerated.
For the whole year of 2021, smartphone shipments reached 343 million units, a year-on-year increase of 15.9%, accounting for 97.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period. A total of 404 new models were launched, an increase of 11.0% year-on-year.
