Kurt Browning is a famous Canadian figure skater, choreographer, and event commentator.

He has won four World Championships and four Canadian Championships gold medals.

On March 25, 1988, during the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Kurt Browning made history by becoming the first athlete to successfully complete the quadruple jump in competition.

This achievement is listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

He represented Canada at three Winter Olympics and served as Canada's flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the 1994 Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway.

He was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Canadian Skating Hall of Fame in 2000.

In 2001, he was awarded the 2001 Canadian Walk of Fame Star of Honor.

In 2006, he was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

He received the inaugural ISU Skating Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
