Setting off fireworks and firecrackers will seriously affect the air quality, aggravate smog weather, generate noise pollution, and easily lead to fires and safety accidents, resulting in personal casualties and property losses.

At present, nine cities in Shandong Province, including Qingdao, Zaozhuang, Weifang, and Tai'an, have issued documents expressly prohibiting the setting off of fireworks and firecrackers when the Spring Festival is approaching.

Among them, Tai'an stipulates that from January 10, 2022 to March 31, 2022, the sale, burning, and release of fireworks and firecrackers will be banned throughout the city.

In all restricted areas, fireworks and firecrackers are allowed to be set off on New Year's Eve, the first day of the first lunar month, and the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, and are prohibited at other times.

During the severe pollution weather warning period, no unit or individual shall set off fireworks and firecrackers.

Units and individuals who violate the regulations shall be ordered by the public security organs to stop the discharge and fined; those that constitute violations of public security management shall be punished according to law; those that constitute crimes shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law.
