“Doctors” Egypt: Stopping the investigation of the doctor accused of killing Wael El-Ibrashi

The Secretary-General of the General Syndicate of Physicians in Egypt, Dr. Ayman Salem, said that today, Tuesday, Dr. Khaled Montaser, a dermatologist, will be investigated for what Dr. Sherif Abbas, the attending physician to the late journalist Wael El-Ibrashi, filed a complaint against for defaming him in the incident of El-Ibrashi’s death.

Dr. Ayman Salem explained to "Cairo 24" that the union will stop investigations with Dr. Sherif Abbas, in the incident of causing the death of journalist Wael El-Ibrashi, and wait until a court ruling is issued.

The Secretary-General of the General Syndicate of Physicians added that when the case is raised in the Public Prosecution, the Administrative Prosecution Adviser concerned with investigating the incident in the Syndicate will stop the investigation until the judicial ruling is issued, after which he will begin his internal administrative investigations in the Syndicate, in the event of a conviction or acquittal ruling.

The Secretary-General indicated that the family of the journalist, Wael Al-Ibrashi, submitted a complaint to the union against Dr. Sherif Abbas, before submitting a report to the Attorney General regarding the incident of Al-Ibrashi's death.

Earlier, the Attorney General, Hamada Al-Sawy, ordered an investigation into the death of the journalist, Wael Al-Ibrashi, after receiving a report from the widow of the famous journalist.

And the wife of the journalist, Wael Al-Ibrashi, had informed, in a petition she submitted to the Public Prosecution, a doctor, of causing his death, as she said in her communication that the doctor gave him non-circulated tablets claiming their effectiveness in treating the emerging corona virus, and convinced him to take them and treat him at home, and that he was smoking heavily in the deceased’s bedroom during his stay. , despite its negative impact.
