Fukuoka Prefecture announced on the 16th that it was confirmed that 1290 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The number of infected people in the prefecture per day exceeded 1253 on August 18, last year, the highest number ever.
The breakdown is 681 in Fukuoka City, 206 in Kitakyushu City, and 64 in Kurume City.
A total of 80,195 people have been confirmed infected in Fukuoka Prefecture.
