After 4:00 pm on the 15th, the fire department was notified that a fire was coming out of a wooden one-story house of Mr. Fukuji Yoshida (86) in Shitoda, Yamagata City.
The fire was extinguished after about an hour and a half, but the fire burned down about 146 square meters of the house.
According to police, one was found dead in the burns and two were taken to the hospital, one of which was confirmed dead.
Another elderly woman who was transported is conscious and is being treated at the hospital.
There is information that Mr. and Mrs. Yoshida and their son live in this house, and the police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming that it was Mr. Yoshida and his son who died.
