Egypt .. The Public Prosecutor orders an urgent investigation into the death of Wael El-Ibrashi

The Egyptian Public Prosecutor, Counselor Hamada El-Sawy, has ordered urgent investigation measures into the death of journalist Wael El-Ibrashi.

And the Public Prosecution stated in a statement today, Saturday, that the deceased’s wife submitted a petition to her, accusing a doctor of causing his death, as he gave him non-circulated tablets, claiming their effectiveness in treating the Corona virus, and he persuaded him to take them and treat him at home.

Al-Ibrashi's wife said that "the doctor used to smoke heavily in the bedroom of the deceased during his stay, despite the negative impact of this."

And she added that despite the results of "the results of the deceased's examinations for the presence of inflammation and cirrhosis of the lungs, the doctor insisted on continuing his treatment with the same medicine that he claimed to have invented until the deceased communicated with other doctors, and he was admitted to the hospital with a high rate of failure and pulmonary fibrosis, so they tried to treat him for a whole year." Until he died of complications."

By submitting the matter to the Attorney General, he ordered an urgent investigation into the incident.

Dr. Khaled Amin, a member of the Doctors Syndicate Council and a member of the Syndicate’s Ethics Committee, said earlier that the Syndicate decided to open an investigation in the presence of the legal advisor regarding the death of the late journalist Wael Al-Ibrashi;

to find out the truth.

"Amin" explained, according to the Masrawy newspaper, that the union decided to open an investigation after the controversy raised by the incident during the past days, and to indicate the extent to which a medical error committed by the doctor who supervised his treatment during home isolation caused or not.
