Tweeters exchanged a list of the most prominent goods that the Customs Department exempted from the new tariff for 2022, commenting that the document included a commodity that sparked a wave of ridicule and astonishment on communication platforms, namely spacecraft.

According to the document, it was decided to exempt spacecraft from paying any customs tariffs, including satellites, spacecraft launch vehicles or orbital vehicles.

The Eighth Newsletter - Your Newsletter (01/15/2022) has monitored the most prominent interactions with the list of goods exempted from customs duties in Jordan.

Sultan al-Ajlouni tweeted, "The Jordanian government, as usual, is ahead of its time, and is making offers on customs for launching spacecraft and orbital vehicles... I mean, we are legislatively ready for Star Wars and the conquest of space."

Uday Ghoneim mocked the Jordanian government's decision, saying in his tweet that "reducing customs duties for spacecraft is the best decision since the date of the establishment of the Jordanian state... thus one can buy his spacecraft while he is comfortable... Praise be to God."

As for academic Atef Dalqmouni, he believed that the government's decision "could benefit Jordanians in the future when they set out to conquer space after the government closed the doors of livelihood for them on Earth."

Dalqamouni added in his tweet, "By God, you people must be happy with this news.. Therefore, hurry up and buy old spacecraft from NASA and others in preparation for the upcoming space flights.. Be optimistic about the good you will find and try your tricks."
